Went to the ER last night as i couldn't stop vomiting and stomach cramps. Service used to be very good, but it seems as it is going down hill. 45 minute wait to get triaged and nobody was in front of me. They were not busy but it took them over an hour from the time the Dr saw me to give me any medication for the nausea. Nurse had horrible bedside manor. Dr. Seemed very disinterested in my issues. Pushed the panic button due to more vomiting and getting some on the bed. Took 10 minutes before someone other than my nurse showed up. Again, the ER was dead!
I called to ask a medical question because I'm 33 weeks pregnant and before I could tell the woman on the line who I was or my situation she's proceeds to interrupt me and say to call Monday when the office is open. Oh course I was like okay can i have the number to someone who can answer my question then? Then she askes me who I am and my situation. So I tell her I am 33 weeks pregnant and wiped blood and haven't had incourse since the night before she's like "OH I SM SO SORRY NOW WE ARE TALKING" because she's knew she was in the wrong and rude. Then she got my to the doctor and they said everything should be fine unless I continue to bleed. You guys really need to learn how to speak to people and listen to them because one day you could mess up and someone could lose there life or child because of your bad customer service. I won't be dealing with your hospital for my second child. I never have Good service with you. Fix yourselves.
The hospital itself is not bad that is why I gave it 3 stars. Nurses are great and very attentative but the ER doctors are not very good at all. Went in twice in 1 month for same symptoms and each time was sent home with no knowledge of what was wrong. When it happened the third time I went to Wooster Community where they figured it out on the first time. Been fine since and I can't thank the doctors at Wooster enough. I have nothing to say about any of the primary physicians or the hospital itself but they need to hire more competent ER doctors that know what they are doing because the ones that I had have no clue.
Due to dehydration I was freezing and no concern was shown, by offering socks, or even a blanket. I think next time it might be worth the drive to go to Ohio Health in Mansfield or even Wooster Hospital to get quality care.
If you have an emergency then you're better off going somewhere else. Brought our 2 yr old daughter in because she fell on her head and wanted to be sure she was ok. We've currently been waiting 3 hrs because they're "very busy" to get a cat scan, the waiting room was empty. all of the nurses are rude and stupid. You would thing that UH would improve the place for patients but it seems they've only done it for the employees.
I would of gave 0 stars it I could. My husband was having back pains and we went to Samaritan hospital. They ask his over and over again about using pain pills, (he is bold and has tattoos.) We know there is a drug problem in this town, but not everyone is looking to drug shop. They are in pain and are looking for relief. We were no happy with the services we got. If you not looking to be treated like a druggy I would go elsewhere.
HORRIBLE HOSPITAL!
